About Willa
Willa is a striking 4-year-old Lab/Shepherd mix, weighing in around 70 lbs, who’s just beginning to really enjoy life. She spent time in a structured board and train, and with the right encouragement and a chance to relax, her true character has started to shine. She approaches play as if she’s just now learning how: her pounces are both clumsy and joyful, with a spirit you can’t help but root for. Willa is an adventurer at heart, enthusiastic about new experiences and eager to soak up what she missed out on. Her energy is infectious—she’s goofy, bouncy, and still a bit mouthy like a big puppy, especially when excited. She might leap for dangling drawstrings, not out of aggression, but from sheer confusion over handling her own excitement. Manners and impulse control are works in progress for her, and she’ll need someone ready to continue guiding her. Willa prefers to take her time sizing up new places and people, but she warms up steadily. Among her favorite comforts: other dogs. Willa truly needs a friendly, confident dog in her future home to help bring out her best and boost her confidence. She is crate trained, house trained, spayed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. Her adopter should be prepared to keep up with the structure and training she’s begun, move at her pace, and use a secure fence or leash for safety since new spaces can still make her nervous. Willa’s got an exuberant, loving personality and is ready for someone who’ll appreciate her quirks and invest in her continued growth. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.

Questions about Willa
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Willa, as a Lab/Shepherd mix, thrives best in a home where she has space to move and structure to help her feel secure. She’ll do well in an environment that offers consistency and room to decompress, whether that’s a house with a yard or regular access to outdoor activity.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Lab/Shepherd mixes like Willa usually appreciate a good amount of outdoor space. While a large, fenced yard is ideal, she can manage in a home without one as long as she gets daily walks and chances to explore safely.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Willa's breeds, Lab and Shepherd, are often good with children when well socialized, but given her playful, sometimes jumpy personality, she may do best with older kids who understand dog behavior and can participate in her training.
