About Margot

Margot is a sweet, goofy Cane Corso/Mastiff mix with a heart as big as her paws. After spending quite some time surviving on her own, she's finally safe and ready to find a family who will show her the love and stability she's been missing. At just 75 pounds, Margot is currently underweight from life on the streets, but she's already proving that brighter days are ahead. Despite her difficult past, Margot has a playful, affectionate side that shines through once she feels comfortable. She can be shy when meeting new people and may need a little time to warm up, but patience and kindness go a long way with this gentle girl. She appears to be potty trained, walks nicely on a leash, and is eager to spend time with her people. Like many dogs who haven't had much guidance, Margot will benefit from continued work on her manners and confidence-building. She can display some barrier reactivity and will need an adopter committed to helping her navigate the world in a positive way. Because she doesn't always realize just how big she is, Margot would do best in a home without young children, though older, dog-savvy kids may be a great fit. Margot has already overcome so much. Now she just needs a family willing to help her continue her journey from survivor to beloved companion. If you're looking for a loyal, lovable goofball who deserves a second chance, Margot may be the perfect match. ❤️ The Village Animal Welfare at (405) 751-4933.
