About Simon
Simon is a 10-year-old Yorkshire Terrier mix who's experienced more than his share of upheaval. At just 5.5 pounds, he landed at the city pound as a stray and spent time waiting for someone to claim him. No one showed. Now in foster care in Jamestown, ND, Simon is getting used to being treated kindly—a process that takes time for a dog who has learned to be wary. He can be nippy when nervous or scared, so a quieter home without young children is best for him. His foster family continues to work on house training, crate training, and helping him feel safer when meeting new people. Simon required a dental cleaning with several extractions after arriving in rescue, but he’s recovering well and is more comfortable now. Yorkshire Terrier mixes, especially with a wiry coat like Simon’s, need regular grooming every few months to avoid matting, so future adopters should plan for those appointments. Simon only asks for a family willing to move at his pace and offer stable, gentle care. All his medical needs have been addressed, including neutering, vaccines, worming, and microchipping. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
