About Dax
Start your journey together! Apply now. Meet Dax, an energetic 5-year-old terrier mix who’s bursting with personality and heart. After being adopted from Prairie Paws Rescue in 2022, Dax is searching once again for his forever family due to changes in his previous owner's lifestyle. He’s currently thriving in a foster home with small dogs and children, where he loves being part of the action. Dax’s ideal home is one that matches his active spirit and can offer him the attention and structure he needs. Apartment living isn’t recommended, as Dax isn’t fond of crates and tends to bark, making him better suited to a house with a secure, fenced yard. He’ll need a watchful adopter to ensure he finishes his potty breaks outside, as he could use a little refresher with house training. Food is a big motivator for Dax, making training sessions both fun and rewarding. Grooming is important for him, so his adopter should be prepared for regular upkeep to keep his wiry coat healthy and free of tangles. All his medical work—including neuter, vaccinations, deworming, microchip, and vet exam—has been completed, so he’s ready to go home. Dax is the perfect pick for an active family looking for a loyal, loving, and fun companion. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
