About Teddy

Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started. Teddy's journey is a shining example of resilience, hope, and the transformative power of rescue. When Teddy, a sweet, curly-coated Bichon Frise, first came to Prairie Paws Rescue in the fall of 2025, he faced the dire threat of euthanasia due to his former family's inability to manage his medical needs and excessive weight. Separated from table scraps and introduced to a healthy diet in a nurturing foster home, Teddy began his path to recovery. Early December saw Teddy through his first TPLO surgery for his left rear leg, followed by patient rehabilitation with the unwavering support of his foster mom. When his right leg required similar care, Teddy braved a second surgery and another lengthy recovery, showcasing his tenacity. With over $10,000 invested in his medical needs, the Prairie Paws team refused to give up on Teddy, and he responded by losing 12 pounds—making each step lighter and each day brighter. Now fully healed, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and groomed, Teddy is ready to start his new chapter. His remarkable story highlights the value of every life and the rewards of rescue. Prairie Paws Rescue is dedicated to finding Teddy the best possible home, prioritizing his needs above all. Teddy is proof that, with love and dedication, new beginnings really are possible.
