King calls Seguin, TX his home for now, where he’s looking for a cat-free household that can accommodate his playful but gentle energy.
About King
King is a young Basset Hound/Lab mix with a mellow nature and a gentle spirit. He’s cautious around new things and loud noises, but once he relaxes, he settles in and takes comfort in routine. Most days, King is calm, though a flash of excitement can make him a bit jumpy. He comes alive outside, loving every chance to run in the yard, walk the neighborhood, or just soak up the day. When the mood strikes, King gets playful—he’ll chase after frisbees and balls, tug at toys, and can stay occupied with the right chew. Durable chew toys, knuckle bones, and anything made for power chewers are best for him. He is both house trained and crate trained, which helps him fit in quickly. King’s prey drive is strong, so he will chase cats, squirrels, or even frogs; he’ll need a cat-free home. His stomach is a bit sensitive, and he feels best when fed a diet meant for sensitive dogs. Milk bones and similar treats don’t agree with him. King will thrive with patient people who give him steady love and time to grow more confident. With that, he will prove himself a loyal, affectionate companion. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
