Meet Ladybug! She’s a tricolor adult basset hound mix who, with her companion Twilight, lost her home to recent Texas flooding. At about six years old and 24 lbs, Ladybug is the more experienced of this bonded duo. Both girls have spent time settling into their foster home and have proven themselves to be sweet, adaptable, and low-maintenance. They are fully house trained, hardly bark, and don’t need to be crated when left alone—they simply relax until someone’s home again. Their foster can’t say enough about how gentle and easy they are to live with. Given how closely bonded they are, Ladybug and Twilight must be adopted together. Their companionship is clear, and their positive energy brings a calming presence to any home. Ladybug is generally healthy, though she is currently heartworm positive; the rescue will cover all costs associated with her treatment post-adoption and is happy to walk adopters through the process. Despite all they’ve been through, these girls remain optimistic and affectionate, ready for a loving family to give them a stable future. Every animal deserves a happy ending.
