About Dixie Lee
Dixie Lee impresses in person with her velvety soft coat and expressive eyes. She's a happy-go-lucky Beagle with a friendly, loving personality who quickly felt at home in her foster environment. Despite her strength and medium-large size, Dixie Lee handles herself well—no leash-pulling, responds to 'no,' sits on command, and is completely house trained. At night, she sleeps calmly in her crate for a full eight hours. When left at home, she may whine a bit at first, but soon relaxes. Dixie Lee gets along well with her senior male foster sibling and has shown friendliness to other dogs, though she can be cautious around big, boisterous dogs. Her energy level is just above moderate, so a fenced yard where she can run would be ideal. While she occasionally plays with toys, true to her Beagle nature, she's always excited for meals—a slow feeder bowl works best for her. Above all, Dixie Lee thrives on human affection, loving belly rubs and head scratches, and wouldn’t mind a little lap time. She’ll be ready for a sleepover in early June. What are you waiting for?
