About Beasley
Beasley has spent nearly six months settling into life outside of rural Kentucky and now he's ready for a home that understands his gentle, quirky spirit. His housetraining has gone well—just open the door and say 'wanta go out?' and he trots outside. On walks, he’ll stick close by, but loud noises or surprises can spook him, so a securely fenced yard is a must. Around the house, Beasley is mellow and loves lounging on his dog bed or snuggling up in bed at night. He has learned to enjoy treats from your hand, and he never says no to a good chew toy, bone, or antler. With dogs and cats he does well, and he’s fine with kids, though he prefers a peaceful setting. He isn't crated when left alone, but his foster uses a belly band dog diaper, which Beasley tolerates without a fuss. Early on, he was fearful, but treats and patience have made a difference, and he’s even started playing with the other beagle in his foster home. He started anxiety medication in January, though his foster believes he could eventually be weaned off once he's settled. Beasley’s looking for a home where someone is around most of the time, and his future will be shaped by trust, calm, and steady routines. Your heart might be the missing piece for his rescue journey. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
