About Violeta
Violeta is a 5-year-old pointer/retriever mix ready to start her new chapter. She spent her early days in Puerto Rico and is now settling into a DC foster home, adjusting after a big change and eager for stability. At around 41 lbs, this medium-sized, spayed girl gets along well with other dogs. She’ll thrive with a family committed to helping her build confidence—preferably one with another friendly dog or active folks who’ll bring her on plenty of walks and dog park visits. Her priorities are simple: a little routine, some patient socialization, good food, and a soft bed. In return, Violeta offers loyal companionship, sweet cuddles, and steady devotion. Integration with cats or children hasn’t been observed yet, but anyone interested can discuss safe introduction strategies. Like many dogs transitioning from shelter life, she’s working on her house skills and crate training with support from her foster. If you want a gentle, loving companion who’ll happily accompany you on adventures and settle in for a quiet evening, Violeta could be the dog for you. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
