Meet Ben! Ben is a 9-year old mastiff who was surrendered to SCAS after his owner was moving and couldn't take him. He is understandably very confused by his newfound situation and we are still getting to know him as well. Per his previous owner, Ben does know a few commands, is good with other dogs and people (no kitties please!) and is your typical loyal and affectionate mastiff. Ben does have an allergy to chicken so will need to be on a diet free of chicken ingredients. Ben's profile will be updated as we learn more and he is not yet neutered so as of now, adopters must reside in Stafford, Caroline, King George, Prince William, Culpeper, Fauquier, Spotsylvania, or the City of Fredericksburg (this restriction only applies to unaltered animals). His adoption fee is $45 and any resident dogs in the home should come for a meet-and-greet, to meet Ben and see how they get along on a temperament basis. Please bring a picture ID/something with your current address as well at time of adoption.
