About Hardy
Hardy is a tall, lovable goof with about 65 pounds of black and white charm. At around 3–4 years old, Hardy still has a youthful spark and gets excited when people come around. He spent time in a home before winding up at the shelter and it shows: he holds it in his kennel and waits for a leash walk before relieving himself, so he’s likely housebroken and clearly trying to do the right thing. Volunteers say he’s eager for attention and happiest when outdoors, either stretching his legs or relaxing in the play area. He walks well on leash, but can get excited and jump, so a home with older, respectful kids is ideal—he means well but could easily knock down a small child. Hardy is open to dog friends but would need a meet and greet with any other resident pups to make sure they get along. He hasn’t been tested with cats yet. Shelter life is tough for him, especially after knowing the comforts of home, and everyone wants to see Hardy chilling on a couch where he really belongs. Ready to meet your new best friend?
