About Belle
Meet Belle! Belle is a 5½-month-old Husky/Shepherd mix with a sweet, lively personality and a strong streak of curiosity. She came to rescue as a last-minute save from a Houston shelter, and despite not much being known about her early days, she’s quickly proven herself to be lovable, upbeat, and surprisingly resilient. Belle has a real thing for toys and balls, loves being outside, and truly enjoys spending time with her people. She’s food motivated, sharp, and already learning basics like “sit.” She’s picked up on potty training when kept on a routine and generally thrives with structure, patience, and positive reinforcement. She gets along great with other dogs and likes having canine playmates, but like any young pup, she can get a bit too excited during playtime—though she responds well to gentle redirection. Belle has met a cat in her foster home and has shown respect and an ability to adjust her behavior around feline friends. At night, she settles down well in her kennel and sleeps through till morning. Belle is currently receiving medical attention for an eye issue, with her rescue covering the costs until complete. She’s available for foster-to-adopt or adoption and is expected to grow into a large, active dog. Belle would do best in a home with a secure fenced yard where she has room to burn off that puppy energy.
