About Olive
Olive is a cheerful little Beagle who’s navigated a tough stretch—she was found alone at a CVS and had likely gone without regular meals for a while. Now settled with her foster, she’s filled out and discovered her joy for food, so much so that she eats from a slow feeder to keep her pace steady. Olive weighs about 15 pounds, which is on the smaller side for her breed. She greets her people with gentle, happy sounds and is always ready to play with toys or tussle around with foster siblings. Olive is crate trained and often tucks herself inside for naps or a chew session. Though she had some initial housetraining mishaps, she caught on well and is now reliably house trained, though typical Beagle distractions like smells might slow her down outside. Olive is affectionate but independent—she’ll enjoy your company without demanding constant attention. She does well on a leash, but true to her breed, she’ll want to sniff her way around the block. Olive gets along with other dogs and with cats. She hasn’t been around small children, so a proper introduction is a good idea, but her temperament suggests she’d be happy to meet them. Olive is spayed, vaccinated, and heartworm negative. She’s ready for a new family who’ll give her the care and love she missed out on before rescue. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
