AvailableLester is a neutered male mixed Treeing Walker Coonhound and Beagle estimated to be a senior in age and considered medium-sized. He is house trained and is currently in Cary, NC.
About Lester
Lester’s calm presence and steady temperament stand out right from the start. This tricolor hound mix, somewhere around 10 or 11 years old and about 50–55 lbs, still greets every day with curiosity and a gentle spirit. He loves long, slow walks and takes his leash skills seriously—no tugging, just patient sniffing and easy company. After losing his first family, Lester passed through a shelter (and a brush with euthanasia) before landing with a caring foster. Now he’s looking for his peaceful, forever home. Lester fits best with relaxed households, whether a quiet apartment or a laid-back house. He’s crate trained, housebroken, and slides into new routines without drama. Lester gets along well with other calm, well-mannered dogs but would also be happy as the only dog in the home. He isn’t comfortable with cats, so a cat-free environment is best. While he carries the senior label, he’s still up for adventures—he can hop in the car like a champ and keeps up on walks. That said, most days, Lester just wants to be near his people and enjoy a safe, loving place. Lester has plenty of love left to offer and is ready to settle in for his golden years with someone who values quiet companionship. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
