About Chester
Chester is a small beagle who just arrived at the rescue and is adjusting fast. He’s got a quiet presence, still a bit shy and unsure, but his tail wags when you’re near and he finds comfort in his crate. Chester is around 20+ pounds, with a short tricolor coat. He's not yet housetrained and hasn't been neutered, but those next steps are coming up soon. Chester is open to meeting kids, dogs, and even cats, making him a good option for a multi-pet household. You can see for yourself—there’s a local adoption event on Saturday, May 23rd at Hi-Wire Brewery in Durham, a family and dog-friendly space with pizza, ice cream, and a place for the kids to play. Chester’s foster situation is short-term, so finding him a stable home is the priority. Every animal’s story starts somewhere—help Chester write his next chapter. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
