Animal Information: Meet keno, Keno is an 4.5 month-old Terrier mix (Staffy/Pitty) puppy who was surrendered by a young family with a new baby and realized they were in over their heads. When our rescue partner reached out for help, we couldn't say no. Keno is sweet, calm & social per out rescue partner. He is waiting for his freedom ride to Bothell, scheduled to arrive on May 3rd 2026. We are looking for a single family home with a securely fenced yard - breed experience preferred. We will not be considering apartments for him at this time. Foster Profile: Keno is a 13-week-old male pittie mix with the sweetest personality and the most unique coloring — we sometimes joke that his mom may have been part seal! This handsome boy is the total package: affectionate, adaptable, playful, and incredibly easygoing for such a young pup. Keno settles into new situations with ease and loves everyone he meets. He’s a true social butterfly who gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes and personalities, and his curious nature means he’s always ready for a new adventure or game. Keno is already making amazing progress with training: Kennel trained: He happily goes into his kennel on command and sleeps through the night. Potty training: He’s doing very well in the house and succeeds when taken out regularly every 1–1.5 hours. Learning the basics: Keno is currently working on leash walking, commands, and building patience. One of Keno’s best qualities is how well he responds to guidance and correction from both people and other dogs. He also shows no issues with food or toy guarding. Like any puppy, Keno is still learning his manners and can sometimes get a little jumpy or mouthy when excited — especially around food. He’s already a sturdy boy and will likely grow into a big, strong companion, so we think he’d thrive in a home with another playful dog and children ages 5+.
