Meet Pixie Stix! This adorable almost-5-year-old Chihuahua/Terrier mix may be small at just 12 lbs, but she comes with a huge amount of love to give. Pixie Stix is a happy, playful, cuddly little shadow who lives for being close to her people--preferably on their laps! Pixie Stix is the definition of a loyal companion. She picks her favorite humans and becomes their devoted sidekick, following them around with her big bright eyes and her "ride-or-die" devotion. She loves meeting new people, running around with playful dogs, and soaking up as many pets and treats as she can get. At home, she's house trained, crate trained, and mostly quiet--she'll only speak up when she wants attention. She's still working on her leash skills (it seems she wasn't walked very much before), but with how treat-motivated she is, she'll catch on quickly. She rides well in the car but would really prefer to sit on your lap if you let her! Pixie Stix enjoys toys, playtime with other dogs, lounging on laps, and just being near her person. She does great with dogs of all sizes, is fine with dog savvy cats, and enjoys playing with older kids. True to her Chihuahua roots, when she bonds, she bonds hard--she will adore her person and may ignore others when they're around. Health: Pixie Stix has had slightly elevated liver levels her whole life. It is stable and has never required treatment but should be monitored by her vet team as she ages. Pixie Stix would thrive in a home where she can have one or two special humans to bond closely with.
