Meet Odie (technically Oldie B. Goodie), a vibrant senior pup who completely defies his shelter age of 12 with his playful, joyous, and energetic personality. Odie runs, galumphs, and plays with the unstoppable zest for life of a dog half his age. He is the ultimate house guest, boasting perfect house-training with zero indoor accidents and an incredibly gentle demeanor. Even when faced with bossy small dogs, curious cats, or backyard chickens, Odie remains entirely polite, relaxed, and shows absolutely no food aggression or resource guarding. He is a world-class snuggler who loves to curl up right next to you on the couch or bed, soaking up every bit of love and comfort he can get. While Odie is figuring out how to play with toys, his true passion is running around with his paws, ears, and jowls flying in the wind. He would thrive in a home with another playful dog who loves to wrestle and match his fun energy. He is highly trainable, deeply eager to please, and exceptionally food-motivated, which makes working on his skills an absolute joy. He currently has solid B+ leash manners, though he is surprisingly strong and needs a handler who can securely manage his enthusiastic walks. Because he is still settling in and processing his new life, he experiences some separation anxiety and barks when left alone. He is non-destructive, but he will be happiest and most secure in a home where at least one person works from home or is around to keep him company.
