🐾 Meet Petey Petey is a sweet, affectionate boy who is thriving now that he’s finally in foster care and learning what it means to live in a home. He is low-medium energy, 5 years old, 50 lbs and very adaptable, equally happy being a couch potato or joining you for a hike. Petey tends to go with the flow and enjoys whatever his people are doing, as long as he gets to be included. In foster care, Petey has shown that he is: • Treat motivated and eager to learn • Crate trained (his crate is an important tool while he continues learning house manners) • Potty trained • Great with kids • A great car rider • Cuddly, gentle, and very people-oriented Petey is still working on some typical house manners, like chewing things he shouldn’t, which isn’t unusual for a dog who likely spent much of his life outdoors. With patience, structure, and consistent crate use, he continues to make great progress every day. Petey is doing incredibly well in a home environment. He’s learning quickly, loves praise, and clearly wants to do the right thing. Petey would do best with an adopter who understands that love, routine, and guidance go a long way and who will appreciate a dog that is loyal, adaptable, and full of quiet affection.
