About Chop
Chop is a goofy, gentle soul who lights up any room with his easygoing vibe. At about five years old and 48 pounds, this Boxer/Terrier blend draws people in with his soft, sweet nature and ready affection. Found as a stray and left to wait four long months in a shelter, he kept his tail wagging and his spirit unbroken until moving into foster care. Chop loves to meet people and does well with other dogs—his temperament is friendly and playful without being pushy. He hasn’t officially met kids but shows no signs of resource guarding or reactivity, so he’d likely be a great family companion. However, Chop shouldn’t live with cats; his prey drive means any fast-moving feline becomes simply too tempting to chase. Right now, Chop’s mastering his basic commands and needs to stick to a leash or secure area until his recall is solid. Fully neutered, heartworm negative, and current on vaccines, he’s ready for a home where he can relax, keep learning, and finally enjoy the stable, loving life he deserves. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
