The Beagle has Landed! I am a very sweet, smart boy who enjoys the company of humans. With my beagle nose I patrol all the different smells around me, and I keep track of the whereabouts of everyone in the household. I am a fast learner and I am very food motivated. I'd love a family to spend time with and snuggle with me too. General Socialization Notes: I am crate trained, and I have learned some cues: sit, leave it, here, and will trot to the door if you ask me "do you need to go pee pee." I am still working on not pulling on leash and also learning my cue to lay down. I do have some anxiety when left alone and have been known to chew on things I shouldn't but with proper care, I could overcome that. Does Apollo like other animals? I have a history of loving cats. One of my best friends was a cat. Dogs are case by case with proper introductions. Does Apollo like children? My foster believes that with my personality of being pretty laid back, children old enough to understand general boundaries and respect for animals should be ok. Favorite Toys: I do not initiate play with my toys, but if you initiate play with me, I will join in. My favorites are the ball, tug of war, the nylabone, food driven puzzle games, and stuffies that squeak. My favorite activities are going on sniffing walks and riding in the car. Ideal Forever Home: I would love having humans to snuggle with. I truly enjoy just being in my human's presence. I would love having a family that understands my nature to sniff along my walks. I'd most likely do best as an only dog and cats would be okay.
