About Amelia
Amelia, sometimes known as Millie, packs a wild amount of spunk and confidence into a tiny frame. She’s the runt of Macie’s Babies, but you’d never guess it from her attitude or the size of her attitude—think Dachshund mix with legs like table legs and ears built for takeoff. Named after Amelia Earhart, those ears were the first thing to grow, and they’re still outpacing her body, especially when she’s racing across the house. She’s fearless, tackling new toys, new rooms, and even bigger puppies with enthusiasm that can’t be contained. Millie’s always in motion, steady on her low little legs, turning routine moments into adventures. Underneath her bravado, she’s an easy companion—well socialized with dogs of all shapes, exposed to kids, and good with both cats and dogs. Amelia treats everyone like a friend in waiting. Her playful spark keeps things joyful, but at the end of the day, all she wants is a warm lap and a place to curl up for a nap after a day of being the tiniest ringleader in the room. Her mother is only 15 lbs, so Amelia won’t get very big, but her energy and charm more than fill the house. She’s proof that the smallest dog around can still find the biggest ways to matter. Questions about Amelia
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Amelia, being a small Dachshund mix, thrives in a home where she can be close to her people. She adjusts well to both houses and apartments, provided she gets enough activity and affection.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Amelia will appreciate a secure yard to explore, but her size means even a small outdoor area or regular walks will meet her exercise needs. Dachshund mixes like her do well with daily activity and play.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Dachshund mixes like Amelia are generally good with children, especially when exposed early and handled kindly. Because Amelia is a baby and quite small, respectful children who understand boundaries will be the best match.
