Meet Marcellus, our low-riding little shepherd mix inspired by Remarkable Creatures, and honestly, if you’ve seen the movie, you already understand the feeling. At around 4 ½ months old, Marcellus has the soulful eyes, emotional intelligence, and quiet sweetness of the world’s gentlest sea creature trapped inside the body of an adorable puppy with legs that don't quite fit his body. Much like the octopus in the film, Marcellus has this way of looking at you like he already knows your story. He’s thoughtful, affectionate, curious, and the kind of puppy who feels deeply connected to the people around him. The kind that quietly sits beside you after a hard day without being asked. And while he may not live under the sea, he does have one thing in common with his cinematic inspiration: once you meet him, you’re probably going to think about him constantly afterward. Also… we truly cannot stress enough how funny his legs are. It’s like someone started building a shepherd and ran out of vertical space halfway through. HOW TO GO ABOUT ADOPTING: - Come in during adoption hours to apply and fill out an application completely. We have applications on site. Open adoption hours take place at 44 Worthington Road in Cranston, RI. We are open every Wednesday 3-7pm and Saturday 10am-2pm. - Fill out an online application to adopt by clicking here: https://tinyurl.com/4yy3nz2d - We require proof of homeownership (tax form, deed, mortgage statement) or landlord approval (a copy of your lease that clearly states you are allowed to have a dog, puppy, cat, or kitten OR written and signed consent from your landlord. - We require copies of up to date vet records for any current pets. Helpful reminders: *We do not do same day adoptions. *Please bring the entire family in to meet the animal you are interested in. *We will setup a meet and greet with your dog at a later date. PLEASE do not bring your dog with you when you come in to apply.
