Meet Blackie! Blackie is an almost 11-year-old gentleman who is still trying to understand all the changes happening around him. Having spent nearly his entire life with just two people since kittenhood, this sweet senior boy simply isn’t used to new environments or unfamiliar faces, so understandably, he’s feeling very scared right now. Even though he’s nervous, Blackie has shown quiet curiosity toward the other cats around him. Beneath his uncertainty is a cat who just needs patience, gentleness, and time to feel safe again. Senior cats like Blackie deserve so much compassion. Everything familiar to him has changed, and he’s hoping someone kind will help him find comfort and stability once more. At his age, Blackie isn’t asking for much, just a calm home, soft places to rest, and someone willing to let him adjust at his own pace. With love and understanding, we believe this sweet boy will slowly learn that he’s safe again.
