About Maximus
Maximus lives up to his nameāa big heart wrapped in a chunky tabby frame. When he first arrived in Thayne, WY, Maximus was wary of people and life indoors. Survival had taught him to distrust, but with time (and lots of patience), he's made an incredible shift. These days, Maximus seeks out affection with obvious enthusiasm, leaning into pets and head scratches as though he's making up for lost time. His classic gray tabby coat and expressive, slightly grumpy-looking face disguise a truly gentle soul. Maximus is still learning about the comforts of home life and will need to be an only cat for nowāhe's not quite ready to share his safe space just yet. A home without dogs is best, though a calm, experienced dog with excellent boundaries might be okay. Older children who can respect his space and move at his pace would be a good fit. If youāre after a companion with both attitude and warmth, Maximus stands ready to meet you halfway. His journey from feral to friend is ongoing, and the next step starts with you.
