Meet Charlie, a 4-year-old with a very sweet face, a gorgeous lace ear, and a playful spirit. He was surrendered to a local shelter when his mom could no longer care for him and his fur sibling. Thankfully, SBR was able to step in and give him a fresh start. Charlie is a smart, active boy who loves chasing lizards, playing with toys, and keeping an eye on everything going on around him. While he definitely has that lovable basset charm, we think there may be a little something extra mixed in too — though we’re not quite sure what! Whatever it is, it just adds to his unique personality. Charlie gets along well with other dogs and is also cat-friendly. He would do best in a home with a fenced yard where he can safely burn off some energy and explore. After everything he’s been through recently, Charlie is looking for someone willing to give him patience, consistency, and time to decompress while he learns that he is finally safe, secure, and loved. Once Charlie settles in, he’s sure to reward his family with plenty of fun, companionship, and unconditional love.
