Jasmine is a beautiful one-year old female Labrador Retriever mix who was brought to the HSOV on May 13, 2026 by the Washington County Ohio Dog Warden who had picked her up on Tick Ridge Road in the Vincent Ohio area. Jasmine was not wearing a collar, and she was not microchipped. This sweet girl has a dark brown/dark gray short smooth coat with a patch of white on her chest, a long tail, and an adorable face with pale brown eyes, a milk chocolate nose, and short floppy ears. We took preliminary photos of Jasmine while she was relaxing amongst the soft blankets in her kennel, and she looked so peaceful resting her lovely face on a large yellow stuffed platypus toy. Jasmine accompanied HSOV Jennie Sherrard for outdoor photos on May 14, 2026. The wind/temperatures were very chilly that afternoon so Jasmine was anxious to get back to her warm cozy kennel (and we couldn't blame her). This little dollbaby has a very sweet, rather shy, personality and is understandably nervous being in an unfamiliar place with so many other dogs and people that she doesn't know. She responds to soft conversations and gentle petting and is quite lovable. Jasmine hadn't yet stepped on the scales for a weigh-in but likely weighs 55-60 lbs. Jasmine walked gently on a leash for Jennie to/from her photo session, and she loved attention after posing for her glamour pictures. In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Jasmine will be held for the mandatory three-day stray hold so that her family will have an opportunity to reclaim her with proof of ownership.
