About Choppa

Choppa has been through his share of changes, but he’s come out the other side with a mellow spirit and a lot of quiet charm. After losing his person, Choppa found himself alone too often—Cockers are creatures who like to be near their people, and he missed having companionship. Fortunately, someone sought help and now he’s ready for a real forever home. At 11 years old and around 28 lbs, Choppa carries himself with the easy dignity of an experienced gentleman. He isn’t the shadowing type—no Velcro dog tendencies here—yet he enjoys being near people and other calm dogs. He also co-exists peacefully with cats, barely noticing them. With older, dog-savvy kids, Choppa is polite and gentle, though he tends to withdraw from noisy or chaotic situations. He’s fully housebroken, walks nicely on a leash, and makes a great car companion, either napping or watching life outside the window. Choppa prefers soft beds over crates and spends his downtime with his quirky obsession: cardboard boxes and paper. Treats are taken gently, and overall, he’s happiest in predictable, peaceful settings. Choppa is in great health for his age. He’ll have his cherry eyes treated before adoption, and he efficiently takes his daily eye drops for dry eye. Born under the sign of Pisces, he brings a sweet, adaptable nature—ready for a fresh start in Cape Coral, FL. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
