About Hook
Hook is a 9-year-old yellow Labrador Retriever with a golden short coat and a temperament to match. He’s the full package—mature, calm, and deeply loyal. Well-trained and eager to please, Hook knows sit, shake, lay down, and even a special “donut” trick where he spins in a circle for a treat. Walking on leash is a breeze with him; he doesn’t pull or chase, and he’s polite both at home and out in public. He’s neutered, house-trained, and great with both adults and children. Affectionate by nature, Hook loves cuddles and enjoys nothing more than settling in with his people after a session of fetch. He’s respectful in the house, non-destructive, and doesn’t mind spending some time alone. Treats and rawhides are a big hit with him, and his gentle, patient demeanor has always stood out—especially around kids. No aggression or biting in his history. Although he hasn’t lived with cats, Hook has shown calm, relaxed curiosity when meeting them. He gets along well with other dogs when introductions are managed in neutral territory. Currently, Hook is dealing with some painful hot spots that have taken his energy down a notch, but his sweetness and gentle spirit remain unchanged. All Hook wants in this next chapter is a kind home where he can recover comfortably, get plenty of snuggles, and enjoy his golden years surrounded by love. Ready to meet your new best friend?
