Meet Jay! This adorable 2-year-old Pug mix weighs about 12 pounds and is the perfect mix of loving, calm, and curious. Jay enjoys the simple things in life — comfy beds, cuddles with his people, tasty snacks, and relaxing walks outside. He especially seems to enjoy the company of smaller female dogs and has even been around chickens without showing any prey drive. Jay has a sweet and loyal personality and forms strong bonds with his people. He may take a little time to warm up to new faces, but with patience, treats, and a gentle approach, he quickly becomes your best friend for life. One of his funniest habits is prancing around your feet when he’s excited to see you, or patiently waiting by the kitchen while dinner is being made — especially if vegetables are involved since he loves a good crunchy snack. Jay is crate trained and is still working on house training and leash manners. He would do best in a quieter or moderately active home with someone who understands small breed personalities and will continue helping him build confidence around new people and dogs.
