Gene and his sister, Em, were found abandoned with their momma by kind people who stepped in to help them survive and eventually surrendered them to us so they could receive proper care and find loving forever homes. We don't know how long they were out on their own, but Gene has proven to be resilient, playful, and full of love. Gene is your typical puppy - curious about the world, always ready to play, and learning new things every day. He has been fostered with children and has done wonderfully with them. He is also being fostered with other dogs and cats and is learning how to interact respectfully with both. Gene loves treats, adores attention, and enjoys soaking up affection from his people. Like any puppy, Gene is still working hard on potty training and crate training and will need continued patience, consistency, and guidance as he grows.
