Nala is a fun-loving, energetic girl weighing around 25-30 pounds who’s looking for her forever home. She has a playful side—fetch and running are right up her alley—but she also craves belly rubs and time with her people. At first, Nala can be a bit shy, especially with new faces, and may take more time to feel comfortable around men, but once she warms up, she’s incredibly sweet and affectionate. Nala absolutely loves kids, though she’ll need reminders about jumping up when excited. Smart and food-motivated, Nala already knows basic commands, is crate trained (she’ll trot into her crate when told), and is potty trained. She’s got a stubborn streak for toys—no stuffed animal has survived her jaws for long—so she’ll need tough toys and a watchful eye during play. Mealtime is a highlight, and she uses a slow feeder bowl to help manage her excitement. A secure home is essential, since Nala’s a natural explorer and will take any chance to slip out. She does best as the only pet due to her energy and big personality; though she’s lived with cats before, it worked only with slow introductions from kittenhood.
