I get along with my foster mom's 2 male dogs. I have found that I really like to be able to go in and out of the house but, I need supervision because I bark at anything strange to me. My foster mom thinks I appear to be potty trained. I am learning how to use a dog door and have not had any accidents in the house. I need a calm house so that I can adjust to my new surroundings. New people can be a little scary for me but I warm up to pets and love after a brief amount of time. I would do best with a family that is home a lot. I don't mind going into a kennel at night to sleep but I think I would enjoy being in my owners bed at night too. All our dogs are spayed/neutered (if six months and older), up to date on rabies and distemper, heartworm tested, and microchipped. Other medical needs diagnosed while in foster care are also treated prior to adoption. MABTR requires a fenced in area from families who own their home, however we DO adopt to apartment complexes and communities where fences are not permitted due to leases and covenants. In these cases a leash law must be enforced. We do not accept invisible fencing. MABTR only adopts to families residing in NE, CO, MO, KS, IA, WY, SD, ND, ID, UT, MT, MN, and NW AR due to the lack of volunteer support in other states, no exception even if you are willing to drive.
