About Finn
Finn landed at the shelter after a difficult upheaval when his owners could no longer care for him, and he's worn every bit of that heartbreak from the moment he arrived. Those early days were tough—Finn was withdrawn, too scared to approach, and clearly missing the safety and routine of his old life. Change came slow, with no pressure from the staff—just lots of patience and gentle encouragement. The first sign of hope was a tiny tail wag, a subtle signal that Finn still wants connection. Finn is around 3 years old and has lived with other dogs before. He perks up for toys and handles the leash with care, but shelter life is still overwhelming for him. Right now, he's most comfortable tucked away in his crate, out of the chaos. While it would be wonderful to keep him with his shelter buddy, the top priority is finding Finn a calm, understanding home where he can take things slow and start to trust again. There are no children in the adoption picture for now—after what Finn has been through, a quiet environment and a patient person are what matter most. When given that, it’s clear Finn has so much more to give. Start your journey together! Apply now.

Questions about Finn
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Finn, being a mixed breed Terrier, typically does well in homes that offer stable routines and a calm environment. These dogs tend to adjust well to apartments or houses as long as their exercise needs are met.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
While Terriers like Finn love outdoor time, he doesn't need a huge yard. Consistent daily walks and a safe spot to play or sniff around will be enough for him.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Terriers can be great with respectful children once they've settled, but Finn is looking for a child-free home right now as he continues to decompress and recover from recent stress.
