Bourbon. This goofy boy is around 2-3 years old and is FULL of personality. One minute he’s zooming around the play yard chasing toys and showing off how fast he can run… and the next minute he’s testing everyone’s patience and making everyone panic because apparently this boy has discovered he can jump REALLY high. Yes… Bourbon can jump a fence. Not just a little hop either. We’re talking Olympic-level confidence here. So for Bourbon, supervised outdoor time or a tie out or a secure tall fence would be best because this boy has springs for legs. The funny part? Every single time he has managed to hop out, he comes trotting right back into the building and straight to his kennel aisle like, “Okay I’m done out there , what’s taking you so long ..I’m ready for snack time now.” He is very lovable, very smart, and VERY treat motivated. Training snacks? Bourbon says yes. Peanut butter? Also yes. A toy? Absolutely yes. Rules? …he’s still thinking about those. Bourbon can be a little bit of a leash biter and he still needs help polishing up his manners, but he is trainable and eager to learn. He truly just acts like a giant toddler who missed his nap . He doesn’t seem to mind other dogs, but resident dog meets are required because just like people, not every dog likes every dog. We have not cat tested him at this time. We are recommending older respectful children simply because Bourbon gets excited, jumps, and still needs continued structure and guidance. At the end of the day, Bourbon is guaranteed to keep you laughing. He is goofy, mischievous, full of love, and just waiting for someone willing to give him the time, patience, and consistency he deserves.
