Meet Sophia! Sophia is a 1-year-old Mini Poodle with a big personality packed into her tiny 8-pound frame. This sweet little girl has made incredible progress in foster care and is now ready to find a patient, loving forever home of her own. Sophia is house trained, crate trained, fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, and a fantastic car rider. She absolutely loves being babied and held, and her favorite place to be is curled up next to her person under a cozy blanket while watching movies on the couch. If you’re looking for a tiny shadow to spoil and snuggle, Sophia is your girl. While she loves people, Sophia does need time to warm up and learn to trust new humans. Being picked up while someone is standing can still feel scary for her, but when you’re sitting down, she’ll happily hop into your lap and cuddle for hours. She will thrive with patient adopters who can continue building her confidence and showing her just how wonderful life can be. Sophia gets along beautifully with her foster dog siblings and would do well either with another friendly dog or as an only pup soaking up all the attention. Because of her sensitive nature, she would do best in a home with older children. One of Sophia’s most unique features is her single eye, which only adds to her charm and diva personality. It does not slow her down at all and requires no additional medical care. She currently takes a small anxiety medication, though her foster believes she may not need it long term once she feels fully secure in her forever home. Sophia is ready to trade her foster life for a home filled with love, blankets, cuddles, and a family who will cherish the sweet little diva she is.
