Howie’s journey started when a kind soul found him as a stray and did everything possible to reunite him with his family. When no one came forward, they gave him love and safety—but despite falling head over heels for him, they weren’t able to keep him. Now Howie is with us, and it didn’t take long for the entire shelter to fall in love all over again. Howie is everything you’d hope for in a loyal companion—happy, affectionate, and full of life. He absolutely loves his walks and is a fantastic leash walker, making him a joy to take anywhere. True to his breed, he’s a “healer” in more ways than one—his presence alone can lift your spirits. He would thrive in a home where he has a purpose—whether that’s helping out outdoors, exploring, or simply being your constant sidekick.
