I came into rescue after the heartbreaking loss of my owner and arrived with my little sister. I may take a couple days to fully relax and trust new furry friends, but has done well with my foster brothers once I let my guard down. I dont need an active lifestyle — I'm much more interested in being your tiny shadow on the couch. My favorite things are human attention, pets, cuddles, and being close to my people. I am a total couch potato and would thrive in a calm, loving home where I can soak up affection and feel safe. She is currently learning that outside is for potty time, and she’ll need a patient adopter willing to continue helping her build confidence and routine with house training. Precious would do best in a home where she can sleep in bed with her humans — being close to her people makes her feel secure and loved. She also needs to be crated when left alone, but she requires a non-wire crate, as wire kennels are not a good fit for her. All our dogs are spayed/neutered (if six months and older), up to date on rabies and distemper, heartworm tested, and microchipped. Other medical needs diagnosed while in foster care are also treated prior to adoption. MABTR requires a fenced in area from families who own their home, however we DO adopt to apartment complexes and communities where fences are not permitted due to leases and covenants. In these cases a leash law must be enforced. We do not accept invisible fencing. MABTR only adopts to families residing in NE, CO, MO, KS, IA, WY, SD, ND, ID, UT, MT, MN, and NW AR due to the lack of volunteer support in other states, no exception even if you are willing to drive.
