During that time, it is the goal for the dog to be able to pass either the AKC K9 Good Citizen test and certification, or the Puppy S.T.A.R. certification. You may schedule a meet/greet with the dog while it is still in the program. However, we request that final adoption not be completed until after they have finished their entire training. A young pittie mix boy that found himself at the Aberdeen animal shelter after adventuring around town. His owner never claimed this adventurer, and he was past his hold date. We couldn't let this playful young boy be another statistic, and we had an opening at Freedom Tails. So, he went from jail to "the big house." Now, he is getting taught be an inmate handler how to be a well behaved boy.
