Zorro's story began on the streets of Memphis, where he was left to fend for himself--but you'd never guess it from the dog he is today. This handsome boy has blossomed into a sweetheart. At his core, Zorro is a true love bug with a gentle, submissive nature, making him incredibly easy to be around. He has a moderate to high energy level and thrives when he has space to play and a buddy to share it with. Zorro absolutely loves other dogs and plays beautifully with them--respectful, social, and happy to share both toys and attention. He doesn't have a possessive bone in his body; you can take toys or even touch his food while he eats, and he remains completely relaxed. He's also cat-friendly, making him a wonderful fit for a multi-pet household. Zorro is both crate-trained and house-trained, and while he's generally good on leash, he would benefit from a bit of continued guidance to polish his skills. He's still working on mastering his basic training and would benefit from continued guidance and consistency. but he's eager to learn and bond with his people. Car rides make him a little nervous at first, but once the journey begins, he settles in just fine. Although he hasn't been officially tested with children, Zorro's gentle, easygoing temperament suggests he would do well in a home with kids who know how to interact respectfully with a dog. Zorro would truly shine in an active home--ideally with a young family and at least one playful canine companion to help him burn off energy and continue building his confidence.
