The side-eye king is here! Meet Gary Boris, a 2-3-year-old French Bulldog mix, weighing 25 pounds (as of 4/17/26). This little Frenchie is more than ready to join your home and here's 5 reasons he'll be a great companion: 1.) His side-eye expression and personality will have you laughing for days. 2.) He loves car rides, baths, rolling around in the grass or carpet, going to baseball/soccer games, playing with toys, doesn’t mind crowds, and won't run away. 3.) He uses only three legs to go down the stairs! (His back left leg gets left out every time, but he's resourceful!) 4.) He's completely potty trained (though he will need some assistance adjusting to your home/redirecting if needed!) 5.) He sleeps all night on a mat. No need for a doggy bed, this guy knows what he wants! Since Gary Boris can't go for long walks due to his breed and difficulty breathing, he pushes a basketball around his foster's house for exercise. He loves it and hopes to become the next NBA star! This boy would thrive in a home with no other dogs or small children. He likes to have his food to himself, so no family-style meals either please! If he's out, he'll perk up at other dogs, but won't bark. Overall, Gary Boris is a cool dog who's looking forward to making fun memories with you! Adopt him today! MEDICAL DISCLOSURE: Boris was born with a congenital heart condition called pulmonic stenosis. This means the valve that carries blood from the right side of his heart to his lungs didn’t form normally, leaving the opening too narrow. Because of this, his heart has to work much harder to push blood through, which has caused the muscle on that side to become thickened. His cardiologist has started him on atenolol, a medication that helps reduce strain on his heart and lowers the risk of rhythm problems. A cardiac procedure is recommended to help open the narrowed valve. This may involve a balloon valvuloplasty or placing a stent, and a CT scan on the day of the procedure will help determine which option is best for him. As a small charity, we simply cannot afford the cost of this specialized surgery — but we believe with all our hearts that there is an angel out there who can help give Boris the chance he deserves. Are you that angel? All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be. To adopt or learn more about Gary Boris, you must fill out an adoption application. To find the application, copy and paste this URL into your browser: WWW.GDRNE.COM/ADOPTION-APPLICATION [Adoption Fee: $495] ** PLEASE READ: If a dog is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works. Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted. To learn more about our *shelterless* rescue, adoption fees, and procedures, review the list of Frequently Asked Questions on our website at WWW.GDRNE.COM.
