About Wilbur

Wilbur is a five-year-old neutered male French Bulldog and Pit Bull mix with a gentle, almost comical presence. He shuffles and snorts his way through the day, showing nothing but sweet nature no matter what comes his way. When he arrived, Wilbur was in rough shape—his skin and paws were cracked and bleeding, and he battled a tough urinary tract infection. He’s since tested negative for several major diseases, received his distemper and rabies vaccinations, and completed antibiotics and pain medication. Wilbur has those lopsided, goofy ears that make him even more endearing. He’s got the snort and bark of a bulldog, the waddle too, and maybe a dash of Pit Bull spirit in there. Wilbur hasn’t shown any aggression, calmly passing other dogs at the shelter like he’s on a mission to sniff out breakfast. He needs patience and understanding from his new home, as well as help learning about structure and safety—it’s all new to him. Because of his bulldog snuffling, Wilbur’s adopter should be vigilant about keeping him cool and protected from heat. He’ll thrive with someone ready to show him what home really means.
