Meet Lavender! Lavender is an easygoing lady who’s easy to please. She enjoys relaxing with a yummy lick mat and snoozing under the feet of her people. She’s a pretty low-energy girl and spends all of her kennel time lying on her bed, completely unbothered by everything going on around her. Now, even though this girl doesn’t need much exercise, she is still quite strong and can be eager to keep it moving when she’s out on her walks. She gets very happy to meet new people and loves getting attention so much that she smiles from ear to ear. She’s always gentle and polite when greeting people and keeps all four paws on the ground. Lavender recently attended an event where she met tons of new people, including children, and was loving and friendly with them all! She mostly ignored the other dogs that were nearby and may do well with other pets if given a full two-week shutdown followed by slow, gradual introductions. Lavender always keeps her kennel clean and uses the bathroom outside at every opportunity, indicating that she is likely housebroken and/or crate trained. She also knows her sit and paw commands and is gentle when taking treats! Intake Reason: Stray Medical Notes: Lavender is a senior pet. Senior pets require increased attention, including more frequent visits to the veterinarian, possible changes in diet, and in some cases alterations to their home environment. She was found to have a fractured/broken upper left and lower right canine tooth. Some fractured teeth may lead to painful infections and may require surgical removal (extraction). Lavender also had a small, lobulated mammary mass associated with her right cranial abdominal mammae. The mass was surgically removed. It was saved, but has not been submitted for analysis yet. This pet is up to date on vaccines, spayed/neutered and microchipped. Adoption hours are 12-5pm daily (arrive by 4:30) at 13800 Manor Road in Baldwin.
