About Chef
Chef joined the Pet Search foster family after surviving a tough start on St Croix, where he and his pack faced real dangers. Despite this, he's a 5-year-old, small black chihuahua mix who carries a gentle spirit and plenty of energy. Chef tops out at 11 pounds and gravitates to laps and chairs, always keeping an eye on his surroundings. Snuggles and kisses are his specialty, though he hesitates briefly when meeting strangers. He warms up soon after and soon fits right in. Chef is good with dogs his size or a bit bigger, though large dogs make him nervous until he’s settled in. With cats, Chef won’t hurt them but does like to give chase—so he needs a cat-free home or confident cats who won’t mind his antics. He’s neutered, up to date on vaccines, and house trained. This little guy is a bit of an escape artist, so a secure fenced yard or leashed walks are a must. Due to his small size, Chef isn’t recommended for homes with young children. Chef’s soulful eyes hint at his past, but he’s ready for a brighter future in Washington, PA. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
