AvailableMako is a Shiba Inu/mixed breed adult dog who currently lives in Sultan, WA. He’s a medium-sized, neutered male with a gentle temperament shaped by his past. Mako is still learning about home life and will need some encouragement as he adjusts.
About Mako
Mako is a gentle and sensitive soul with a sweetness that’s clear the moment you meet him. Coming from a hoarding background, he missed out on a lot of life’s early social experiences, so much of the world still feels new and surprising to him. He’s made real progress here, finding quiet courage day by day—whether it’s a hesitant step outside, a sniff around the yard, or looking to people for support. There’s something rewarding about seeing him gradually open up and trust, learning that life can be soft and safe. Mako is looking for a patient adopter who understands what it means to help a shy dog bloom. He’ll need consistency, reassurance, and patience as he gets the hang of house training and walks. A calm environment and a reliable daily routine will help him flourish. If you have the heart and time to help a gentle dog discover his place in the world, Mako is ready for someone to invest in him. Make their next chapter their best one yet.

Questions about Mako
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Mako, as a Shiba Inu/mixed breed, thrives in calm, predictable environments where routines are kept. He’ll do best in a home that provides consistency and patience while he gains confidence.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Shiba Inu mixes like Mako appreciate a secure yard or access to outdoor space, but they don’t require a vast property. Daily walks and supervised outdoor exploring at his own pace will suit him well.
