About Louie
Louie is a two-year-old Shiba Inu mix, currently in need of a new forever home. Despite a tough start, Louie has made big strides with the help of a trainer. He used to be scared of new things and would bolt, but now he greets new experiences with curiosity—though he’s still cautious. Louie is active, affectionate, and loves being around people. He’s friendly and playful with most dogs, often taking a submissive approach, especially with larger companions. When he feels uneasy, he sometimes needs a little guidance and space to recharge. Louie should not live with unsupervised small animals due to a strong prey drive and a knack for climbing and jumping. He does get along with cats, although his enthusiasm sometimes overwhelms more timid felines. He’d do best with a confident cat that holds its boundaries. Louie will do best with an owner willing to advocate for him in new situations and provide continued support. He’s searching for a stable family where he can keep growing. Your new best friend is just one click away.
