About George
George has come a long way. With his dark orange and white tabby coat and sharp features, he tends to draw attention wherever he goes, though he didnāt always carry himself with this quiet confidence. He arrived at the rescue afraid of people and would hide from every new noise or movement. Over time, patient care and a lot of food worked wonders. Now, heās learning that people can be kind and that he deserves comfort and affection. Heāll need a home that gives him space to settle. Expect him to hide at firstāhe isnāt one to jump right in, but, with patience and bribes (heās food motivated), George starts to open up. Once he trusts you, he genuinely enjoys head scratches and relaxing in cozy spots. Heās always happy to lay in the sun or claim his pile of treats. While he isnāt fond of being held and may remain wary, heās soft about asking for attention when the mood strikes. George doesnāt have any teeth but it doesnāt slow him down at mealtimeāhe still gets excited for treats and eats just fine! He thrives in the company of other cats, who help him feel secure. Any adopter needs to expect a slow transition, ideally with other cats already in the home. George must be kept indoors and never declawed. Fully vetted and ready for a safe, patient home, heās hoping someone will see him for who he is and give him a chance. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
