After finding himself in an overcrowded rural shelter, this petite gentleman was understandably overwhelmed. But the moment he stepped outside those shelter walls, the "scared" Shadow vanished, and the real Shadow emerged-a sweet, affectionate companion who immediately climbed into his transporter's lap for a cuddle. Shadow was briefly adopted, but through no fault of his own, his new senior dog sibling decided they preferred the "only child" lifestyle. His previous adopter was heartbroken to return him, but she knew Shadow deserved a home where he could be fully embraced. Now back in his foster home, Shadow is ready to find his true forever. Shadow is the ultimate "best of both worlds" pup: He is incredibly dog-friendly and loves to romp around. He'd be thrilled to have another dog companion to share his toys and adventures with. He dreams of a fenced yard where he can stretch his little legs and explore the world at his own pace. But at the end of the day (or the middle of the day!), Shadow's favorite place to be is right next to you. He is a professional cuddler and an expert lap-warmer. Shadow is looking for a family that understands he might be a little shy in new, loud environments at first, but once he knows he's safe, he is your most loyal friend.
