Meet Abby Fabulous, an approx 10-month-old (4/18) Dachshund mix, weighing 17 pounds (as of 3/27/26). This beauty and her sister, Rosie Fabulous, were surrendered by their owner in Mississippi through no fault of their own. Abby can't wait to upgrade and live the fancy New England lifestyle she keeps hearing so much about! Her foster shares: Abby can be a little shy when meeting new people, but she warms up quickly. Once she’s comfortable, she’s incredibly sweet and affectionate and loves to stay close to her person. She enjoys playing with toys, curling up for cuddles, and even sprinting alongside our much bigger lab. She’s comfortable in her crate and will sometimes choose to rest there when things feel busy. Like many dogs in a new environment, she may whine briefly when first left alone, but settles and is adjusting really well. Overall, she’s a calm, easygoing dog with a great size and temperament. She’s doing well with house training and hasn’t had any accidents since learning our routine, though she may have a small excited pee when first coming out of her crate. It’s been really nice to see her confidence grow and her personality start to shine and as a bonus she has the cutest little underbite.~~ Abby is a friendly, social young dog who does well with other dogs, kids, and enjoys human companionship. She loves playing with her toys and beating you at Uno! Draw 2! Draw 4! Abby's a fun-loving pup who makes friends everywhere she goes so get ready to have 20 or more new best friends. Abby, though, will always be your number one bestie. She hasn't had experience with cats, but it's never too late for an introduction! Maybe they want to play Uno too? When it comes to crates, Abby's a pro, but she'll need some help getting used to leashing and commands. She hasn't had any accidents at her foster's unless she's been left alone for extended periods of time so she hopes you'll have patience with her as she gets used to your home when it comes to potty.
